He also says "thank you for making #1500 happen". The actual playlist Rich posted confirms this. So- The show listed here as "Big Broadcast 1500" is in fact, actually Episode 1501 from Sunday, J(8pm - 12 midnight). Sunday, Jwould have been show #1500 - but no playlist was ever posted & this show is assumed to be "lost" from the archive. (Perhaps that never happened as there were no posted playlists for #1498 nor #1499, but these recorded shows do exist.) Rich also states that he was behind in publishing his playlists & would "take care of it" this particular week. The Big Broadcast returned on Sunday, Jwith episode #1499. "Acoustic Edge at Symphony Space" aired in place of The Big Broadcast that night. In Episode #1498 (May 26, 2002) Rich states that the June 2nd show would be preempted. The tags here are a little screwy/misleading. it's made up from classic pop & jazz recordings made before 1940. These are indeed the works of the late Rich Conaty, & his New York radio show that ran for over 43 years (mostly on WFUV-FM). ![]()
